More than just a beach ride, this experience offers a wonderful opportunity to spend time with our family, get to know our horses and enjoy a taste of traditional Irish farmhouse hospitality, all while exploring the spectacular countryside and coastline of Northern Ireland.

Your experience begins at Crindle Farm, our family home nestled beneath Binevenagh Mountain. As part of your visit, you’ll be welcomed into our historic farmhouse, dating back to the 1700s, to enjoy tea, homemade scones and a selection of Irish delights with the Patterson family. Depending on the time of your experience, this will take place either at the beginning or towards the end of your visit. It’s a chance to relax, share a few stories and experience a little of life on our family farm.

With more time spent at the farm and stables, you’ll have the opportunity to meet our animals, get hands-on with the horses and explore the surrounding countryside before heading to the breathtaking sands of Benone and Downhill Beach, beneath the iconic Mussenden Temple.

Suitable for all riding abilities, including complete beginners, Saddle Up by the Sea is a lovely choice for couples, families, friends and groups of mixed riding abilities looking for a truly personal and memorable experience.

What’s Included

• Traditional Irish Farmhouse Hospitality – Step inside our family home, dating back to the 1700s, and enjoy tea, homemade scones and Irish delights with the Patterson family. Depending on your experience time, this will be enjoyed either at the beginning or end of your visit.
• Farm & Stable Tour – Explore our working family farm and stables, meet some of our animals and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at daily life at Crindle.
• Meet & Groom Our Horses – Spend time getting to know our horses, with the opportunity to groom and prepare your horse before heading out on your riding adventure.
• Guided Arena Session – Settle into the saddle with a guided session in our arena, allowing you to get comfortable with your horse and build confidence before venturing further afield.
• Countryside Trail Ride – Ride through the peaceful countryside surrounding Crindle Farm, beneath the magnificent Binevenagh Mountain, taking in the beautiful rural scenery before making your way to the coast.
• Land Rover Defender Transfer – Travel in our Land Rover Defenders through the North Coast countryside to the spectacular Benone and Downhill Beach.
• Private Beach Ride – Experience the magic of riding along the golden sands of Benone and Downhill Beach, with the Atlantic Ocean beside you and the iconic Mussenden Temple overlooking the coastline. Your guides will capture photographs along the way, giving you some lovely memories to take home.
• Traditional Irish Coffee – Complete your experience with an Irish coffee, the perfect way to round off your time with us on the beautiful North Coast.
