What makes Pony Tales special is that it’s about much more than simply getting on a pony.
From meeting our farm animals and learning how to care for a pony to taking those first steps in the saddle, every part of the experience is designed to give children the opportunity to get involved, learn something new and enjoy time outdoors.

Pony Tales
A Private Family Pony Riding & Farm Experience in Northern Ireland
Make some special family memories with Pony Tales, a private pony riding and farm adventure at Crindle Farm, nestled beneath Binevenagh Mountain on Northern Ireland’s beautiful Causeway Coast.
Designed especially for families with younger children, this experience combines time with our friendly ponies, hands-on animal encounters, fun riding activities and a little taste of traditional Irish farm life.
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome to our family-run farm, where you’ll meet some of the animals who call Crindle home. From our horses and ponies to our sheep, cows and goats, there’s plenty to discover as we introduce you to life on our working Irish farm.
The children will have the opportunity to get hands-on with our ponies, learning how to groom, care for and lead them before getting into the saddle. With gentle guidance from our experienced team, they’ll learn the basics of horse riding, including stopping, steering and even trying a wee bumpy trot if they’re feeling confident!
Along the way, we’ll include fun horseback games and pony-leading challenges, helping children build confidence while enjoying time with their new four-legged friends. We’ll also head out for a gentle countryside ride, taking in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of Crindle Farm.
To finish, the family can relax in our barn with tea and freshly baked homemade scones, sharing stories from their adventure.

No previous horse riding experience is needed, making this a lovely introduction to ponies and life on an Irish farm.
What’s Included
- Farm Tour & Animal Encounters – Explore our working family farm and meet some of the friendly animals who call Crindle home, including our horses, ponies, sheep, cows and goats. Discover a little about life on the farm and get to know some of our four-legged characters.
- Meet & Care for Your Pony – Spend time getting to know your pony, learning how to groom, brush and care for them. Children will also have the opportunity to practise leading their pony with guidance from our team.
- Guided Pony Riding Session – Head into our riding arena for a gentle introduction to horse riding, learning how to stop, steer and control your pony. For those feeling confident, there may even be the chance to try a wee bumpy trot!
- Horseback Games & Pony Challenges – Enjoy fun, confidence-building games on horseback, along with simple pony-leading obstacles and activities. A chance for children to develop their skills while having plenty of fun along the way.
- Gentle Countryside Ride – Venture out for a peaceful pony ride through our family farmland, enjoying the fresh country air and beautiful scenery beneath Binevenagh Mountain.
- Traditional Irish Hospitality – Finish your family adventure with tea and freshly baked homemade scones in our barn, a lovely opportunity to relax and chat about your time at Crindle.
