With the Patterson family hosting you throughout, you’ll get to know the people behind Crindle and discover a side of Northern Ireland that many visitors never get to see.
Whether you’re exploring the Causeway Coastal Route, visiting Northern Ireland for the first time or simply looking for an authentic Irish countryside experience, A Taste of Crindle offers something a little different.
No horse riding is involved, making this a wonderful option for non-riders, families and anyone who would love to experience our farm, animals and local countryside without getting into the saddle.

An Authentic Irish Farm Experience with the Patterson Family in Northern Ireland
Step away from the usual tourist trail and discover a little of everyday life in the Irish countryside with A Taste of Crindle, a privately hosted farm experience at our family-run Crindle Farm, nestled beneath Binevenagh Mountain on Northern Ireland’s beautiful Causeway Coast.
This is an opportunity to experience life on a traditional working Irish farm, spending time with the Patterson family, meeting our animals, hearing family stories and discovering some of the beautiful countryside that surrounds our home.
Your visit includes a warm welcome into our historic family farmhouse, dating back to the 1700s, where you’ll enjoy tea and freshly baked scones with the family. It’s a chance to sit down, have a chat, share a few stories and experience the warmth of genuine Irish hospitality.
From there, we’ll take you behind the scenes of our working farm, introducing you to some of the animals and characters who make Crindle what it is today. Depending on the season and what’s happening on the farm, you might even get the chance to lend a hand with some of our everyday activities.
We’ll also head out across the fields in our vintage Land Rover to visit our cows and sheep, before taking you to one of our favourite local hidden gems, where you can soak up the scenery and hear a little about the history and stories of the surrounding area.
Perfect for couples, families, friends and small private groups, A Taste of Crindle is a relaxed, personal experience that offers a genuine glimpse into rural life in Northern Ireland.

- Traditional Irish Farmhouse Welcome – Step inside our historic family home, dating back to the 1700s, and enjoy tea and freshly baked scones with the Patterson family. A chance to relax, share stories and experience traditional Irish farmhouse hospitality.
- Behind-the-Scenes Farm & Stable Tour – Explore our working family farm and stables, meet the farmer and discover what daily life is really like at Crindle. Along the way, you’ll meet some of our animals and the many characters who call the farm home.
- Hands-On Farm Experiences – Depending on the season and daily farm activities, you may have the opportunity to help bring in the horses from the fields, spend time with our animals or lend a hand with some of the jobs that keep the farm running.
- Vintage Land Rover Farm Adventure – Climb aboard our vintage Land Rover and travel across the fields to visit our cows and sheep, with the opportunity to help feed them and learn a little more about life on a working Irish farm.
- Discover a Local Hidden Gem – Venture beyond the farm to one of our favourite local viewpoints, taking in the spectacular scenery of the North Coast and Binevenagh countryside. Along the way, we’ll share local stories, history and a few places you might otherwise never discover.
