A Taste of Crindle – NON RIDDEN Farm Experience

Step into the heart of our family farm and experience a real taste of Irish country life with the Patterson family. This is a relaxed, personal and authentic experience that gives guests an insight into our day to day life here on the farm, surrounded by horses, rolling countryside and the quiet charm of rural Ireland.

Your time with us begins in our family farmhouse, where you’ll be welcomed in for a cup of tea and a fresh baked scone. It’s a chance to slow down, settle in and enjoy the warmth of an Irish home before heading outside to explore the farm.

From there, we’ll take you around the stables and yard, where you’ll have the chance to meet our horses, learn a little about them and enjoy some hands on time getting up close to them. Guests can feed the horses, give them a wee brush and experience that lovely connection that comes from spending time around them in a relaxed and natural setting.

As we make our way around the farm, we’ll share a little more about our life here, the rhythm of the seasons and what it means to live and work on a real family run Irish farm. This experience is very much about stepping behind the scenes and seeing a side of Ireland that most visitors do not often get to experience.

We then hop into our vintage Land Rover Defender and head out across the surrounding countryside. Along the way, you’ll visit our sheep and enjoy access to some beautiful local viewpoints, hidden gems and off the beaten track spots, including the stunning Gortmore viewpoint. It is a lovely chance to take in the landscape, enjoy the fresh air and see this special corner of Ireland through local eyes.

This experience is all about warmth, welcome and a genuine connection to place — a chance to slow down, enjoy good company and experience a little glimpse into our life here in Ireland.
